About
Ina Edera creates abstract-figurative paintings inspired by personal experiences of everyday life, where small, magical moments occasionally emerge. The work reflects a deep love of storytelling and explores the emotional connections between body, mind, and environment. Through texture, pattern, and raw brushwork, the artist invites viewers to slow down and develop a fascination for the imperfect and the interconnected.
Based in Barcelona, Ina is particularly drawn to the local flora, studying the moods and colors conveyed by the objects observed. The artist works on canvas using acrylic paint and oil sticks, starting to experiment with plant-based pigments. On paper, she uses oil pastels and colored pencils for their ability to layer, add texture, and create patterns.
With a background in graphic design, Ina previously worked for newspapers, design agencies, and NGOs, and has only recently embraced a fully independent artistic expression.
