Furry Arms

Furry Arms

In the dense silence of a jungle, a small girl finds refuge in the most unexpected embrace. "Furry Arms" is rooted in a true story of extraordinary survival, a child abducted and left alone in the wilderness, taken in by a family of capuchin monkeys who taught her how to eat, stay safe, and endure. This painting captures not the danger or the rescue, but the tenderness at the heart of that story: a child held by arms that were never meant to hold her, yet did. The jungle presses in from all sides, vast and indifferent, yet at its center there is warmth. This is a painting about resilience and about what it means to be mothered by nature.
