Painting nevertheless
This is the story of Maysa Yousef during the research for this project. I have been in touch with her for almost a year. She's a painter in Gaza who's never stopped painting, even when bombs left her house in ruins. Instead of stopping, she turned the leftovers of her house into an art school, working with kids from the neighbourhood who have gone through unimaginable losses. She emphasises making art as a way of life and overcoming hardship. Kids keep coming back to her workshops, while hoping for the situations to improve. She's a true symbol of resilience that should never be forgotten. 100% profit for the work goes to Maysa
