War crimes
This narrative painting was created in response to the lived testimony of an artist Rufaida Sehwail , who has experienced repeated displacement in the last two years. Rather than illustrating events, the work holds fragments, memory, interruption, persistence rendered through a figurative-abstract language. The intention is not to speak for the experience, but to acknowledge it, and to consider how art can carry the story of an artist and their survival. This piece belongs to an ongoing practice of using painting as a form of witnessing and preservation. 100% profit will be donated to Rufaida.
